Wechsel Camping Mat
Manufacturer details: Wechsel Tents
The Berlin tent forge
Since 1995, Wechsel has specialised in the development and production of high-quality lightweight tents at moderate prices. The design engineers at Wechsel personally test their own products in real-life situations, then optimise them to suit the different conditions. Tear-resistant fabric, reliable seams, durable poles and strong pegs form the basis for tents that really do the job. They set the standard in terms of wind stability, water resistance, ventilation and durability, and also come with some brilliant design details and features. Wechsel tents have proven themselves under extreme conditions in every climate, from the high Alps to desert regions.
Wechsel Camping Mat
Teron Mats from Wechsel are more like luxury airbeds than camping mats. Extra-long and wide. The sleeping surface is lined with a silky soft material that positively invites you to relax. These mats are so comfortable, they double up perfectly as guest mattresses for use at home. Perfect for campers looking for real comfort.
Yet Wechsel have succeeded in keeping the Teron as light as possible by designing it to conform to the characteristics of the human anatomy: The trunk is the heaviest part of the human body, while the head and legs exert far less pressure on the mat. For this reason, the mat is designed with vertical recesses at precisely these points.

Good to know:
The R value indicates how effectively a camping mat insulates against cold ground. The higher the R value, the warmer the mat. The perception of cold is very subjective, so R values are always based on the average user. More sturdily built people can use a mat with a lower R value, but if you are quite sensitive to the cold, you should choose a higher R value.
