Product information

Automatic chain lubrication system for motorbikes

Fraser Scott loved his bike, but hated the chore of keeping the chain in top condition. In 1977, this led him to develop the first automatic lubrication system for motorbike chains. Scottoiler is now global market leader in the manufacture of automatic motorbike chain lubrication systems and can draw on decades of experience in the field. Scottoiler systems have been continuously developed over the years, and have long since demonstrated their functionality, reliability and durability. Not just in everyday use, but even under the challenging conditions of numerous world tours. In 2002, for example, when Kevin and Julia Sanders achieved the fastest circumnavigation of the world on a motorcycle.

  • Scottoiler "V-System"
    Chain Lubrication Device & Öl

    Scottoiler "vSystem"

    • An automatic chain lubricating system that increases the service life of the chain by up to 7 times. This makes your chain virtually maintenance-free, saving you a lot of time and effort. The universal kit is easy to install and can basically be used on any motorbike.
    • How does the Scottoiler work?
    • The Scottoiler vSystem is vacuum-controlled. When the engine is running, a vacuum is created, which lifts a diaphragm, which in turn opens the valve. While the valve is open, oil flows by gravity through the delivery tube to the chain via the rear sprocket. The quantity of oil is regulated by the valve setting. It is not a pump.

    Unique innovations

    • The needle valve and valve seat are now manufactured with even greater precision, guaranting even better dosability
    • The needle valve profile has been modified, which allows the amount of oil dispensed to be adjusted uniformly
    • The modified delivery tube makes bleeding much easier.
    • The RMV (reservoir with valve) is finished in a modern smoky grey
    • The protective sleeves of the delivery tube and ventilation pipe are now black and are therefore less sensitive
    • A handy 250 ml refill bottle is also included
    • Illustrated instructions for easy attachment
    • Model-specific installation instructions are available to download (see "Links to the product")

The kit consists of a reservoir with valve (RMV) and an injector which applies oil to the chain and the sprocket. A 250 ml bottle of Scottoil is also included and lasts for a distance of up to 12,500 km.
Various components that enable the kit to be mounted in different ways are also included. For a small number of models, special components are required in order to mount the kit. These will of course be sent free of charge.

Model-specific installation guides (motorcycles and quads/ATVs) can be found under "Further product info" (see "Links to the product").
