The Tech-Air Street System was developed for use with airbag-compatible jackets. For bikers who are looking for increased protection.

• Comprehensive inflatable upper body protection for the back, shoulders, kidney region, rib cage and upper abdomen.
• Electronic sensors are discreetly integrated into the structure of the system (in the shoulder region), making the vest completely self-contained and therefore suitable for wearing with a range of compatible jackets.
• Outer shell made of a robust and hard-wearing mesh textile and polyester fabric on the shoulders and upper body for a close and secure fit which hugs the body yet gives the rider complete freedom of movement.
• Detachable and height-adjustable elasticated strap with hook-and-loop closure which allows adjustment to ensure an optimal fit.
• Fully lined with a black 3D mesh liner for optimised ventilation and breathability.
• Colour-coded YKK zippers allow the vest to be quickly and securely attached to the outer jacket/suit.
• The Tech-Air Airbag Control Unit (ACU) is integrated in the solid polymer back protector, whose ergonomic panel construction is designed to ergonomically follow the natural contours of the rider's back.
• The Airbag Control Unit is sealed inside the vest for all-weather protection, while the vest and the individual components have been fully tested at temperatures from -10°C to +50°C.
• The Airbag Control System includes the necessary connection leads (two for the Street version and one for the Race version) to enable the rider to couple it to the outer jacket quickly and easily. The Airbag Control Unit conforms to the ECE R10 04 European standard, which guarantees the system's electromagnetic integrity and stability.
• Tech-Air uses an integrated, certified lithium-ion rechargeable battery, which gives 25 hours of continuous use with 6 hours' charging time. A Micro USB charger is used to conveniently recharge the system: 1 hour's charging gives 4 hours of riding time.
• Argon cartridge inflators are certified to the ISO 14451 standard, which means that they will only operate when the electronic unit activates them. The standard also certifies that the cartridges are safe to handle, install and transport.
• The system is upgradable via a dedicated data portal on the Alpinestars website.
• Tech-Air fulfils the requirements of Category II and is certified to the PPE Directive 89/686/EEC with the version EN1621-2:2014, which ensures impact protection is activated within 25 milliseconds for up to 5 seconds
• The system has been fully tested at temperatures from -10°C to +50°C, making it suitable for all weather conditions.
• The design and manufacture of Tech-Air is certified to the Pyrotechnic Articles Directive 2007/23/EC, which guarantees construction in conformity with the pyrotechnic handling and safety regulations. This means that the system can be transported safely and legally by car, ship, train and air
