AKRAPOVIC Retrofit Catalytic Converters

Review: 3.62 out of 5

Akrapovic

Manufacturer details: Akrapovic

Product information

Top-class silencers

Since its foundation in 1990, Akrapovic has worked its way up to the premier league of exhaust manufacturers in the space of just a few years. Just ten years later, Colin Edwards became the first Superbike World Champion to have an Akrapovic exhaust system on his bike. Since then, the specialists from Slovenia have accumulated World Championship titles in a wide range of motor sport areas. And for many bikers, Akrapovic is seen as the ultimate manufacturer when it comes to silencers. The reasons behind this uninterrupted run of success: Intensive development processes, meticulous workmanship, great design, light weight, rich sound and, in many cases, increased power and torque.

  • AKRAPOVIC Retrofit Catalytic Converters

    Akrapovic retrofit catalytic converters:

When some Akrapovic exhaust systems are installed, the original catalytic converter is discarded. For these systems we offer an Akrapovic retrofit catalytic converter, as otherwise the EC approval would lapse. If necessary, please see "important notes", which are attached to the exhaust systems.
Akrapovic uses high-performance cats which are guaranteed to give you the enhanced sound and performance boost that you expect from Akrapovic exhaust systems. The catalytic converter is a honeycomb structure made of metal, which contains valuable metals (palladium, rhodium and platinum) on the surface. These metals convert the toxic carbon monoxide and unburned hydrocarbon in the exhaust gases into non-toxic carbon dioxide and water vapour.
